Toastmasters is a non-profit educational organization dedicated to teaching public speaking and leadership skills. Its vision is to make effective communication a worldwide reality.

I’m interested in attending Toastmasters, and your club is the handiest for me distance-wise, but I’m wondering if there are any women who attend it regularly (or fairly regularly)?
I will admit the idea of speaking in front of people makes me, like many people, truly unfortable, but I think I need to stretch myself and just do it.
Thanks!
Kathy
Hello Kathy,
My name is Judy Laythorpe and I am currently President of the Bedstone Olympics Toastmasters Club 7554.
Our current memebrship stands at 34. The split is 23 male, 11 female. Generally we have a good mix of both at each meeting.
I invite you to attend a few meetings. I am sure you will be made to feel quite comfortable and find it a good place to start.
Judy
